
Gairletter Windblown Felling

We have received the following update from Forestry and Land Scotland:
"We have provided some maps illustrating the proposed amendment to our Glen Finart Land Management Plan that has been submitted to our regulator, Scottish Forestry, for approval. The purpose of this proposed plan amendment is to clear areas of windblown trees that have developed or spread due to recent storms. The “overview” map shows just the proposed felling areas; the new felling areas are generally being felled earlier than originally proposed, by approx. 5-10 years. Some other areas will be left for longer to balance this.
