Road Restriction: A815 Cairndow-Strachur-Toward Road

Argyll & Bute Council have provided the following update on road restrictions due to road works below:

"Notice is hereby given that under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, use of the following road by the undernoted classes of vehicle will be prohibited for the stated period of time. 
 
Name of Road/Extent of Restriction: A815 Cairndow-Strachur-Toward Road from its junction with Glenfinart Road in a southerly direction to a point adjacent to Loch Eck Caravan Site for a distance of 4.8 kilometres or thereby. 
 
Alternative Route: A815 north, A886, B836, A815 and vice versa. 
 
Type of Restrictions: Prohibition of Traffic. 
 
Period of Restriction/Closure: When indicated by signs from 1830 hours to 2100 hours 12th August 2025 or until the works are complete whichever is earliest. 
 
Reason for Restriction/Closure: To allow planned works to be carried out on or near the road. 
 
Classes of Vehicles Prohibited: All vehicles except those involved in the works. Exceptions will apply to vehicles requiring access/egress to/from affected properties and emergency service vehicles."
