MINUTES OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
10TH MAY 2011 held at YOUNGER HALL, KILMUN AT 7.30pm
 
 
KCC MEMBERS PRESENT
Sue Minns (Convenor), Robert Aldam (Secretary), Pete Shields (Treasurer), David Eaglesham, Jim Kirby and Clive McClure.
Also Present: Councillor Bruce Marshall, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park Representative David Mckenzie, and members of the community.

2.         DECLARATION OF INTEREST:

3.         MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:
The minutes of the last AGM (11th May 2010) were accepted as a true record of events

4.         CONVENORS ANNUAL REPORT + QUESTIONS FROM THE FLOOR.
Sue informed the committee that Bill Tannock, who had previously been a member of Kilmun Community Council, had died last week. Donations to charity instead of floral tributes have been requested and the committee decided that KCC would make a donation to the chosen charity.
Sue said that she considered that over the last year KCC has gone from strength to strength. (From the floor Councillor Bruce Marshall backed this up and said that there was always a good turnout of members of the community to meetings, which for a small community was very good.)
Sue said that there have been difficult situations to work on this year notably the Finnartmore development (which is a present delayed because of legal issues) and the proposed Midge Lane forestry access (which is still ongoing). 
On a positive note however, the Community Police now have taken delivery of a mobile police Office that will be used on a shared basis for the policing of the Shore Villages.
Sue thanked everyone on the committee for all their hard work and support over the past year and also thanked members of the community for their interest and help.

6.         ELECTION OF OFFICERS
For this purpose the chair was handed over to Councillor Bruce Marshall to conduct the elections. A vote of thanks was extended to the Convener and the council for last year’s work. The election of officers was conducted as follows:
 
 
Convener.       The outgoing convener Sue Minns was proposed by Robert Aldam and seconded by David Eaglesham to continue in post. After this vote the newly elected convener accepted back control and thanked Councillor Bruce Marshall for his assistance.

Vice Convener.          Sue Minns proposed Mike Burke for this post that was seconded by Robert Aldam 
Carried
 
 
Secretary.      Sue Minns proposed Robert Aldam that was seconded by Jim Kirby.
Carried.
 
 
Treasurer.      David Eaglesham proposed Pete Shields that was seconded by Clive McClure.
Carried.
 
 
7.         CONVENER TO DECLARE DATE OF NEXT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The next AGM will convene on the 8th May 2012 in Kilmun Hall
